Two men charged over the death of teenage girl Alisha Goup following a crash in Royton last week have appeared in court.
Omar Choudhury, 21, and Hamidur Rahman, 23, both appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today (Monday, February 27) for the first time since they were both charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Choudhury, of Broadway, Royton, and Rahman, of Tilbury Street, Oldham, were formally charged with the teenager's death over the weekend.
Alisha died on Thursday (February 23) when, according to Greater Manchester Police, two cars crashed on Rochdale Road in Royton, with one mounting on the pavement and crashing into the teenager.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Alisha, from Royton, died at the scene.
At the pair's first court appearance today, a plea and trial preparation date was set for April 3 at Minshull Street Crown Court.
They will both remain in custody until then.
Alisha's family has asked for privacy while they grieve her loss.
