Oldham Mountain Rescue Team came to the aid of a man who collapsed while walking in a popular beauty spot on Valentine's Day.
On Tuesday, February 14, the rescue service was called for assistance to trace a man who had collapsed while out walking in the Dovestone area.
Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) were asked by the North West Ambulance Service to help find the man, provide treatment and safely evacuate him.
Following a brief search of the location, OMRT said it couldn't locate the injured man.
However, after another phone call with the informant, the rescue team were able to establish the man's whereabouts as just below Fox Stone.
A team of 15 OMRT personnel, including a casualty carer and a North West Ambulance Service paramedic, found the man and carried him on a stretcher to the waiting ambulance for hospital treatment.
The operation took the team one hour and 25 minutes.
"We wish the gentleman all the best for a speedy recovery", OMRT said in a post online.
