A popular pet shop that is due to close after standing for more than four decades in Oldham has announced last-minute deals for customers.
Fishnet Aquarium and Pets, an 'alternative' pet shop on Crompton Way in Shaw, was bought by Lynn and David Hague in June 1982 when the couple were in their early 20s.
Their lives have revolved around the shop ever since, however, last month the pair announced they wanted to retire, spend more time with family and travel.
The couple insisted the closure is "not a sad announcement" but signifies the "end of an era and the start of the next chapter in our lives".

The shop was initially due to close by Christmas Day but on Wednesday (December 28) the pair said they were "not quite done yet" as they have some items left to sell.
The Hagues have since marked everything in their pet shop as half-price and said they would accept "reasonable offers" on shop fixtures and fittings.
In a post on social media, Fishnet Aquarium and Pets said: "We hope everyone is having a great Christmas.
"As you know, we intended to close anytime over this period.
"Well, we are not quite done yet."
The shop said it would be open today (Thursday, December 29) from 9.30am until 1pm and "maybe a couple of days next week".
The post continued: "Keep an eye on our page for updates but tomorrow all stock is 50 per cent off marked prices.
"We still have a couple of reptile accessory kits and starter kits.
"Lots of UV and aquarium light bulbs.
"Plastic plants, small pet supplies.
"First come, first served", it concluded.
