The MP for Failsworth and Ashton-under-Lyne was seen dancing to infamous Manchester-based and Oldham tunes at a homelessness charity event in Manchester over the weekend.
The event saw the mayor, Andy Burnham, take to the DJ decks to face off against Liverpool mayor, Steve Rotheram, in the 'Manchester vs Liverpool' charity DJ session on Friday, December 2.
Other Manc legends, including Clint Boon and Happy Monday's Rowetta, also made an appearance at the home of the Warehouse Project, Depot Mayfield, on Friday, December 2.
The event was created with the support of Warehouse Project to raise funds for the mayor's homelessness charity, 'a bed every night', the proceeds of which have gone into the funding pot.
Just can't be doing a DJ set without a bit of Oldham’s very own N-Trance #OnlyLoveCanSetYouFree #Manchester ♥️

'A bed every night' works to deliver a safety net for those sleeping rough on the streets of Greater Manchester by providing emergency beds, food and wrap-around support to help homeless people transition into permanent accommodation.
Since its inception, the scheme has helped more than 4,000 people in the region but the charity said it is aiming to raise a further £30,000 to fund another 1,000 beds for Christmas.
The move comes as homeless charities warn of a tough winter ahead and as recent data reveals there were 14 deaths of rough sleepers in Oldham between 2017 and 2021.
Tomorrow I'll swap the despatch box for the decks.

At the event, Angela Rayner MP was seen dancing to some of Oldham's very own electro legends, N-Trance, which released the top hit 'Set You Free' in the 1990s, the re-release of which in 1995 went on to peak at number 2 in the UK charts.
In a post on social media, the MP said: "Just can't be doing a DJ set without a bit of Oldham’s very own N-Trance.
"Only Love Can Set You Free", she added in reference to the song.
N-Trance was formed in 1990 after Kevin O'Toole and Dale Longworth met at Oldham College where they were both studying sound engineering.
At the time of writing, 'a bed every night' Christmas project has raised £9,034 on its JustGiving page which can be donated to here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/1000beds2022
