An Oldham fly-tipper has been ordered to pay more than £500.

Adriana Mihai, of Fulham Street, was given a two year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a total of £552 in court after her rubbish was found dumped in an alley.

The 28-year-old appeared at Tameside Magistrates Court.

Oldham Council shared the sentencing on its Facebook page as part of its "Don’t Trash Oldham" campaign.

Firing a warning for other potential fly-tippers, its post said: “If you don’t clean up your rubbish then you could be the next one in the dock.”

The case follows a series of prosecutions as part of the campaign, after two were fined hundreds earlier this month, also at Tameside Magistrates Court.
