A car believed to have been stolen from Tameside has been found in Saddleworth and Lees.
The white Vauxhall car had allegedly only been stolen some days before when two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) discovered it in Saddleworth and Lees.
PCSOs Turley and Detheridge were investigating a suspicious vehicle when they came across a different car with false number plates.
The car was then promptly recovered and assessed by forensic officers before being returned to its owner.
In a post online, GMP Saddleworth & Lees said: "Whilst investigating a suspicious vehicle PCSOs Turley and Detheridge subsequently came across a vehicle on false plates that had been stolen from the Tameside area some days before.
"Vehicle recovered for forensic officers prior to being returned to its rightful owner."
