Oldham's Kevin Sinfield shared his Desert Island Discs with BBC Radio 4's listeners last weekend.
The classic show asks celebrities, or castaways, to tell presenter Lauren Laverne eight tracks, as well as a book and a luxury they'd take if stranded on a desert island.
Up last weekend was Rugby League legend Kevin Sinfield, a former captain for Leeds Rhinos and the scorer of the most points in the Super League's 26-year history.
Born in Oldham, where the 42-year-old still lives with his wife and two sons, he has since earned recognition as a fundraiser for research into motor neurone disease in honour of friend and teammate Rob Burrow.
He shared an eclectic selection of tunes with listeners, some of them inspired by his links to the town.
Here are the eight tracks:
- Jerusalem, The Honley Male Voice Choir and The Band of HM Royal Marines
- Come on Eileen, Dexy's Midnight Runners
- Someone Like You, Van Morrison
- 7 Days, Craig David
- I Think We're Alone Now, Tiffany
- Baker Street, Undercover
- Last Request, Paolo Nutini
- Fix You, Coldplay
Sinfield's book of choice was The Edge: The Guide to Fulfilling Dreams, Maximising Success and Enjoying a Lifetime of Achievement by Howard E Ferguson, while his luxury of choice was a self-propelled treadmill.
