Heyside Cricket Club in Royton has been nominated in four categories for this year's UK National Festival Awards 2022.
The cricket club on Little Hey Street, Heyside, in partnership with Adored Events, has received four nominations.
It has been nominated in the categories: best new festival, best family festival, best small festival and the grassroots festival award.
The best new festival award will go to the most promising new festival that launched after 2019, according to the criteria of the UK Festival Awards.
Meanwhile, the best family award will go to the establishment that best caters towards families, "in contrast to the hedonism that still characterises many festivals", and will take into account the quality of entertainment and facilities on offer.
And only those with a daily capacity lower than 10,000 are in with a chance to receive the best small festival award while the grassroots festival award will be gifted to an independent festival whose organisers have sacrificed time, energy and finances to host an event that is "true to their ideals and free of commercial interests."
In a post online, the club said it is "unbelievably proud" to be nominated for the awards for its series of events that it hosts throughout the year.
The post continued: "Thank you to all the staff, artists, production, security, medical team and venues for all their hard work and to all the customers that have made it possible.
"Please show your support by voting for us.
"Your votes really matter.
"Supporting local communities, helping building memories that last forever."
