Northerners are more likely than anyone else in Great Britain to say that the pandemic is over.
A YouGov survey of 4,535 adults in Great Britain found that 24 per cent of those in Great Britain think that the pandemic is over.
In the North of England, this rises to 29 per cent – the highest of any regional group.
Across Britain, those aged 25 to 49 were most likely to say it was over, at 30 per cent.
Just 14 per cent of those aged 65 and over said the pandemic was over.
Londoners were 10 percentage points less likely to say Covid was over, at 19 per cent of those surveyed.

The rest of the south saw 23 per cent of respondents say Covid is over, with the Midlands and Wales at 24 per cent and Scotland at 22 per cent.
Overall, 64 per cent said the Covid pandemic wasn’t over, with those in Scotland the most likely to say it wasn’t over, at 68 per cent and those in the North of England least likely, at 60 per cent.
Many said they didn’t know – with 12 per cent in Great Britain saying they didn’t know whether the pandemic was over.
This rose to 17 per cent in London, and just 11 per cent in the North, South, and Scotland.
