An Oldham care home has been named as one of the top 20 care homes in the Northwest region by a national care reviewer.
Millfield care home on Huddersfield Road was listed as one of two Oldham care homes in the top 20 in the North West.
The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards are based on more than 90,000 reviews over the past two years from care home residents as well as their friends and family. Millfield currently holds a rating of 9.9 and 10 out of 10 on the website.
The home also has a Good rating from government inspectors at the Care Quality Commission.
It’s the second year in a row Millfield has been named in the Top 20.
In addition to Millfield’s success, Anchor, which manages the home, was named as one of the website’s to 20 providers for the fifth year in a row.
The team and residents at Anchor’s Millfield care home have been celebrating the news ever since the regional top 20 awards were announced.

Residents Val Lewis, aged 81, and Sandra Letham both said: “We are in a care home, but it’s a family home and it’s our home.
“We are always going out to local beauty spots, shopping, and pub lunches. The staff here are like family, nothing is ever too much. Lisa and the team do a fantastic job.”
“Our families love having a cup of tea and cake here, and they know we are safe and happy!”
