A man faced a night behind bars this week after allegedly drink driving.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Transport Unit claimed the man was a danger to the roads and “everyone around him” after officers caught him behind the wheel after he consumed alcohol.
A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, driving while disqualified and driving while not having car insurance.
In a social media post online, GMP Traffic said officers locked the man up and kept him in the cells overnight to face a court hearing.
A photograph, which conceals the man’s face, was also posted on social media by GMP which reveals the driver's outfit.
GMP Traffic appeared to comment on his choice of clothes by saying it made him look like a Love Island contestant.
The man was wearing a tight-fitted black and white shirt, black three-quarter length ripped shorts, long white sportswear socks and white and black trainers.
The date, time and location of the incident were not published.
The post read: “Love Island might be missing a contestant after #GMPTransportUnit officers locked this lad up for driving while disqualified and no insurance and drunk driving.
“Kept in the cells overnight to face court.
“A danger to everyone around him and quite rightly taken off the road.”
