James Caroll, known for his appearances in Coronation Street and Channel 4’s Brookside, has died.
He played a character called Colin on the ITV soap, the friend of Mary Taylor and Brian Humphreys in Brookside.
While he appeared on screen, he was also passionate about music and was part of a group.
He and his bandmate Alan Taylor performed a variety of songs including from “well loved bands such as Madness, Bad Manners, The Specials” and more, according to the band’s Facebook page.

Caroll made up one half of 2 TONED and his bandmate Alan Taylor paid tribute with a Facebook post added to the band's page.
Along with three broken heart emojis, the tribute reads: “My heart is broken. My amazing Friend, mentor and brother James Caroll Jimmy has passed away. Jimmy and I had an awesome act and we had 12 great years and over 850 shows all over country and met and entertained thousands of wonderful people many now we call friends.
"The time on stage was sensational but the quality time spent traveling, laughing, crying, joking and of course singing and just being a huge part of each others lives is something I will always remember and treasure for the rest of my days. I love you Jim goodnight until we meet again my dearest friend enjoy yourself it’s later than you think Love Al”
Tributes flood in for James Caroll
Twitter users took to the social media platform to share their condolences after hearing of the actor and musician’s death.

A Facebook user replied to Alan Taylor's Facebook post, writing: "Rest in peace pal. Thanks for the shows and laughs. Deepest condolences to family and friends. Surely a showbiz star will twinkle brighter now"
Another comment reads: "So sorry Alan, sending our love to both your families xxx"
