A warning for thunderstorms in Oldham has been issued by the Met Office for today (Monday).
The yellow weather warning has said that the scattered thunderstorms will develop throughout the day and will bring some disruption to travel.
The Met Office has said that people can expect driving conditions to be affected by spray and standing water and/or hail, which could lead to longer journeys by car and bus.
Delays to train services are also possible.
Short term loss of power is likely in the area, while there is the potential of damage to homes and buildings from flooding and lightning.
The area that has been issued the warning includes Northern Ireland, much of the North of England, the Midlands and much of Wales.
The warning will be in place from 1pm to 10pm today (May 16).
