Firefighters were called to a blaze at an industrial area in Shaw in the early hours of this morning.
Just after 4am, crews from Oldham, Chadderton, and Rochdale attended the fire, supported by an aerial platform from Manchester Central fire station.
The Linney Lane blaze led to road closures and disruption in the area.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 4.15am this morning we were called to reports of a fire at a derelict industrial building on Linney Lane, Shaw.
“Four fire engines from Oldham, Chadderton, and Rochdale fire stations were quickly in attendance, supported by an aerial platform from Manchester Central.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked hard to tackle the blaze in the two-storey building, extinguishing the flames in sectors using three hose reels and a jet.
“Crews remain in attendance at this time.”
