OLDHAM Community Radio is set to broadcast the local elections live from the Queen Elizabeth Hall next month.
The station will be bringing listeners full coverage of the results once the polls close at 10pm on May 5.
Ahead of the election the station on 99.7fm will be broadcasting a special edition of its Chance to Meet programme on Tuesday April 26 at 12pm.
During the programme leaders or representatives of the political parties fielding candidates in this year's election will put their points across to listeners.
The station, currently based in Tommyfield market, celebrated its 15th anniversary last month.
Ian Wolstenholme has been the director of the station for just over a year but was involved in the birth of the station back in 2007 along with station manager David McGealy and technical director Phil Edmonds.
Marking the anniversary, Ian said: "The fact that Oldham Community Radio has not only survived but thrived throughout the past decade and a half is down to our volunteers who give so freely of their time and talents.”
The station is not-for-profit, run by volunteers and does not receive funding from public or commercial licensing.
Listeners can follow the programme online or on-air.
