AN Ashton teenager is believed to have been stabbed in the back of the head in a 'targeted and deliberate attack' over the weekend.
Police were called to reports of an assault on Blandford Street in Ashton just after 10.30pm on Saturday evening.
An 18-year-old, believed to have been stabbed in his head, was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
A GMP spokesperson said: “Shortly after 10.30pm on Saturday, April 16, we were called to a report of an assault on Blandford Street, Ashton-under-Lyne.
“It is believed an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the back of his head.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries so far suggest this was a targeted and deliberate attack.”
