A man was Tasered in Failsworth following an incident that took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to an address on Clough Road to a report of domestic assault.
In a statement, a spokesperson for GMP said: "We were called at 2am on Saturday, April 16 to a report of a domestic assault at an address on Clough Road, Failsworth.
"Officers attended and attempted to detain a suspect who was resisting arrest and making threats.
"To ensure the safety of all involved, a Taser was used and a man in his 30s was arrested.
"He was questioned on suspicion of assault and affray, and has since been released on bail."
