Children, young people and families were out in Shaw Memorial Gardens on Thursday, April 14 to take part in a garden walk.
As part of Errol's Garden Story Walks, children went around the gardens, collecting and logging plants.
The event was organised by Crompton Library as it looked to get children and families to become part of the community garden.
Oldham Theatre Workshop also helped put some entertainment on for the youngsters.
Children were also able to plant seeds into small pots to take care of and learn about some of the parts of nature they found in the garden.
Luckily for those who attended, the weather held firm as people were treated to a warm, dry day.
Oldham Libraries are looking to put on more similar events in other parks in the near future, including at Alexandra Park on April 21.
