We looked at some of the best pubs in Oldham on TripAdvisor and asked them whether they were dog friendly.
The Northgate
Dog-friendly, this pub, which has previously featured in our ‘Pub of the Week,’ has an impressive overall rating of 5 stars out of 5.
Reviewer Babycake13 said: “Amazing friendly service, the atmosphere really great and welcoming - defiantly recommend for couples and families Have also been here in summer and great outdoor space.”
The White Hart Inn
This Michelin guide-recognised pub doesn’t allow dogs in the main restaurant area, but book one of the two rooms and your pooch can join in.
White Lion, Delph
This dog-friendly Delph pub has 200 reviews and is rated as one of the best pubs and restaurants in Oldham.
TripAdvisor reviewer phillipw0 said: “Me and my husband had the 2-course early bird which was served within about 10 minutes of ordering. It was piping hot, very tasty and excellent value for money. I live in the local area and am pleased that this pub is in walking distance of my home.”
The Kings Arms
While Fido might not be able to join you in the restaurant area, dogs are OK in the bar area or outside, and with 565 reviews on TripAdvisor and an average rating of 4.5 you won’t want to miss this one.
TripAdvisor reviewer davidjY4794GF said: “I go to this pub every week. Me and my wife eat out Thursday and Sunday.
“We take our dog (Dodger) most / sometimes. The food is fantastic. The staff are so nice.”
The Waggon Inn
With 660 reviews and a four-star rating, this Uppermill gastropub won TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award in 2021.
Allowing dogs in the bar area, TripAdvisor reviewer Niquinackynoo said: “Evening roast at the Waggon Inn. Very nice and good quality meal. Friendly staff and great presentation. Took our dog with us who was very welcome.”
The Greyhound Inn
It would be odd for a pub called ‘The Greyhound’ to not allow dogs.
Luckily, this one lives up to its name. A family run-pub with a 4/5 rating on TripAdvisor, it’s frequented by TV star and Oldham legend Kevin Fletcher.
Located on Holden Fold Lane, reviewer sharona14 said: “Had amazing time here, nothing is too much trouble, Patrick and Tracey look after you, the team they have is second to none. Can't wait to come back again. Well done.”
