A MAN from Oldham was last week fined hundreds of pounds after he used a dead person’s blue badge to park in the city centre.
Michael Sempey, of Pretoria Road, used the expired blue badge to park his Audi Q5 in a pay and display area on Manchester’s King Street.
Accused of fraud by false representation for the offence, which was in July of last year, Sempey admitted the charge before the magistrates at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on April 7.
The 37-year-old was fined £384 and also ordered to cover costs of £238.
Sempey has until until May 5 to pay the total of £622.
