PUPILS at two Oldham primary schools have been given presentations by police in a bid to improve their safety and prevent them from becoming involved in criminal behaviour.
St Mary's Officers Andy Bigland and Mohammed Khan attended Horton Mill Primary School in Oldham last week and delivered a presentation for the students in years 4, 5 and 6.
During the presentation, students were ‘educated with regards to positive choices, decision making and preventing them becoming involved in criminal behaviour’, according to a GMP spokesperson.
Last week officer Andy Bigland also attended Broadfield Primary School on Goddard Street, Oldham and delivered personal safety workshops for pupils in years 5 and 6.
Topics covered in the workshop included knife crime and bullying.
Last month pupils at Hugh's CE Primary School in Holts Village also took part in an anti-bullying awareness presentation by officer Andy Bigland.
