A man has been sent to court after allegedly driving more than twice the speed limit despite being disqualified and having 19 points on his licence.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers were carrying out a speed enforcement patrol on Ashton Road, Oldham on Tuesday night when officers say a car went by at a dangerous speed.
According to a social media post, the man was driving at a speed of 73mph in an area with a maximum speed of 30mph.
The post said the man must have "thought he was on a race track".
It continued by saying he already had 19 points on his driving record, was driving without insurance and was disqualified.
The vehicle was seized and the man was sent to court for the offence.
