An Oldham man has been sentenced for stealing cash from his employer over a three-year period.
David Padfield, of Marble Street, Derker, was charged with theft for stealing just over £5,388 from Chadderton Park Sports Club between July 2018 and July 2021.
He was arrested in October 2021 and initially pleaded not guilty, but later changed his plea.
On December 3, 2021, Padfield, 45, was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
On Tuesday, April 12 at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, he was ordered to pay costs totalling £23,965.28, although a nominal confiscation order of £1 was set due to the defendant not having enough assets.
Padfield will serve seven days in prison in default of payment.
