With the cost of living on the rise, our wallets are feeling lighter after every trip to the pump.
While walking, cycling, or taking public transport can help to soften the blow of rising fuel costs (as well as have a benefit for the climate), sometimes a trip in the car is unavoidable.
We decided to check the prices ourselves again this week – and it’s more expensive than two weeks ago.
Some stations even refused to disclose their price to us over the phone, despite telling us before.
Here are some of the cheapest places as of March 23, 2022:
1. Costco Oldham (Members only)
If you have a Costco membership, this is the cheapest for you. Costco membership starts from £33.60 a year for an individual, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Unleaded: 158.7p - up from 146.9p on March 9
- Diesel 172.9p - up from 151.9p on March 9
2. Sainsbury’s Oldham
The town centre Sainsbury’s is one of the cheapest places to fill up in Oldham now.
- Unleaded: 161.9p - up from 148.9p on March 9
- Diesel: 174.9p - up from 153.9p on March 9
3. Morrisons Oldham
- Unleaded: 162.7p - up from 149.7p on March 9
- Diesel: 177.7p - up from 154.7p on March 9
4. Gulf, Lees
Cheaper than Morrisons for Diesel.
- Unleaded: 162.9p - up from 157.9p on March 9
- Diesel: 175.9p - up from 169.9p on March 9
5. Esso Longside (Royton)
- Unleaded: 165.9p - up from 159.9p on March 9
- Diesel: 177.9p - up from 169.9p on March 9
6. Shell, Lees Road
- Unleaded: 165.9p - up from 157.9p on March 9
- Diesel: 183.9p - up from 171.9p on March 9
?. BP, Featherstall Road South
