Oldham's Family History Festival is returning this month as it looks to offer residents the chance to discover more about their ancestors.
Taking place from March 21 to 26, the festival will include workshops allowing people to trace their First World War ancestors, with advice being offered to people looking to start their research.
There is also the chance for people to digitise their family history in order to back-up any photographs and documents in their possession.
The sessions will be taking place across the borough, with some at the Oldham Local Studies and Archives on Union Street and others at Oldham Library, Uppermill Library and Crompton Library.
Oldham Libraries will also be offering free Online Basics courses at the libraries across the borough targeted at people who are worried about going online to do their research.
