A FURTHER 437 coronavirus cases have been found in Oldham, figures have revealed.
Data released on Tuesday afternoon also revealed 5,278 Covid-19 cases were discovered in the borough in the seven days up to January 6.
This means the rate of people who tested positive for the virus in Oldham in the week up to that date was 2,221.1, higher than the UK average of 1,830.5.
Meanwhile, across Britain a further 120,821 cases were found in the latest statistics.
A total of 379 deaths were recorded in which the deceased died after testing positive in the previous 28 days.
In the NHS area that covers Oldham, 1,833 deaths have been recorded since the start of the pandemic.
