OLDHAM Coliseum Theatre has been forced to cancel more performances of its pantomime show after cast members have tested positive for coronavirus.
On Boxing Day, the Fairbottom Street theatre said its Aladdin shows would have to be axed until New Year's Day due to Covid-19 cases among its cast.
But this afternoon, the venue has said the show will not be returning to the stage until after Wednesday, January 5 due to the current situation with cast members testing positive for the virus.
A theatre spokesman said: "Despite our extensive health and safety measures we have unfortunately had to cancel further performances of Aladdin due to several positive cases of Covid-19 among our cast.
"All performances up to and including January 5 are now cancelled."
The theatre added that it is "manually processing thousands of bookings for cancelled performances".
A spokesman added: "If you are affected by a cancelled performance, you don’t need to contact us as our team will be in touch as soon as possible.
"Please bear with us and thank you for your patience and understanding."
