A WELLNESS festival is coming to Saddleworth this month to awaken and inspire those in need of some mindfulness and healing.
The Awaken Festival is due to take place on September 18 offering something for everyone.
It's a chance to try new fitness and wellness experiences and meet people from the local area who are business owners and providers.
Emma Russell runs Luna Moona Yoga in Dobcross, along with Hannah who runs Health Honey in Greenfield, and Kelly who runs Wild Heart Yoga.
Emma said: "We met first as friends but we wanted to combine our knowledge and passion to bring a whole new approach to taking care of yourself.
"It's a festival that has never been done before in the area. We want to raise awareness and encourage people to start taking care of themselves. It is a way to try some new experiences.
"We invite people to see what you local area has to offer and go home energised and refreshed."
The festival will be set in Stables Wedding Farm, the site is hidden on a Delph hillside nestled amongst the moors and woodland.
The day runs from 10am until 6.30pm and includes three separate experience zones.
The main area will hold a mix of yoga and fitness taster classes from a range of teachers, each 30 minutes to give you a flavour of their unique style.
The quiet zone will host a mix of meditation, sound and gentle movement, whilst the tipi will host a Temple Spa facial session, drumming and a live podcast recording on menopause and sound healing.
In addition there will be food and refreshments available to purchase along with a selection of stalls selling handmade, fair trade, ethical and bespoke products.
Full day tickets are £49.
Due to the site being uneven and rough in places the Awaken Festival is not an event suitable for those with mobility issues and no children under 14.
