PLANS have been granted to turn a former bank into a bar and a home.
A change of use application to transform the former Royal Bank of Scotland branch on Rochdale Road in Shaw into a drinking establishment on the ground floor and a house in multiple occupation above has been approved.
The proposals, submitted by applicant Lee Hollinworth, of Whittaker Design in Lees, was given the green light by Oldham Council on Tuesday.
The development must go ahead under four conditions.
They include soundproofing measures being implemented to protect the proposed first floor home from noise.
The site cannot be occupied until secure cycle parking has been fitted.
Work must be completed within three years too.
