MAGISTRATES have ordered the arrest of a 19-year-old man who failed to turn up at the Tameside court to face justice for taking a car without the owner's consent and driving it dangerously before it collided with a police car.
Jack James Crookendale, of Lansdowne Court, Chadderton, was due to appear on September 22, for taking the Vauxhall Astra car and crashing with the police vehicle on November 26 last year.
A warrant was issued for his arrest and magistrates committed a second man involved in the same incident, James Wilson, 19, of Melrose Street, Oldham to Minshull Street Manchester Crown Court - for sentence. Wilson was also found in possession of cannabis.
He will appear there on October 20.
