THE landlady of a terraced house in Oldham has been prosecuted after failing to deal with rat and mice infestation or instigate pest control measures.
Tameside Magistrates' Court was told that Rubina Begum, of Werneth Crescent, Oldham, failed to arrange for the destruction of vermin at 5 Trough Gate, Oldham.
She also failed to ensure the correct bins were at the property and did not keep it free of pests or carry out any pest proofing treatment needed in accordance with the Housing Act 2004. She also failed to produce to Oldham Council a gas safety certificate.
She was fined £750 and ordered to pay £1,050 costs and £75 to victim services, on December 11.
