Oldhamers will be unable to get the tram into Manchester city centre on the Bank Holiday Monday (May 6), with replacement services on offer.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has said that no trams will operate through the Victoria stop on Monday due to engineering works.

The Oldham line is set to be affected by this, with services only set to run between Rochdale and Monsall, with services only running between East Didsbury and Exchange Square on the other side of the line.

Oldhamers looking to get into the city centre on the Bank Holiday can instead get a replacement bus into Manchester.

TfGM have said the buses will run every 15 minutes, with the first bus from Victoria to Central Park setting off at 6.06am, while the first Central Park to Victoria service will leave at 7.19am.

These buses will run throughout the day until the final Victoria to Central Park service departs at 23.21pm and the last Central Park to Victoria bus leaves at 00.04am on Tuesday, May 7.

The other services affected are the Bury to Piccadilly line, which will run only run between Bury and Queens Road, with passengers able to get buses from Queens Road to Piccadilly, and the Manchester Airport to Victoria line, which will instead stop at Cornbrook.
