Dozens of Saddleworth addresses are set to lose power next week due to work on cables in the area.

A power cut for the area of Uppermill is listed on the Electricity North West website for Monday (April 29).

According to the website around 60 addresses across multiple postcodes are affected.

The power cut will not start before 9am, and it will not last longer than 5pm, according to Electricity North West.

The website reads: "We appreciate your patience while our engineers carry out a planned power cut in your area.

"This is to improve the reliability of your electricity supply and so our engineers can safely work on the cables that provide electricity to your home or business."
