A driver and passenger have been taken to hospital following a vehicle fire on a major Chadderton road.
The incident took place on A663 Broadway, at the junction near Semple Way.
North West Ambulance Service confirmed it attended the incident, which took place at around 2.15pm on Tuesday, September 5.
Firefighters were at the incident for around an hour, donning breathing apparatus to put out the blaze – which required two jets to put out.

The ambulance service said that two people, a driver and a passenger were taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just after 2.15pm on the 5th September, 2023, two fire engines from Blackley and Salford stations along with the tactical response unit from Leigh station, attended a vehicle fire on Broadway, Chadderton.
“Fire crews used one breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
“Two casualties were treated by NWAS for minor injuries. Crews were at scene around one hour.”

It is understood that the road was closed for a period following the crash, with a diversion in place.
The road has seen a number of crashes in recent years, including one in April 2022 which saw three children taken to hospital.
The junction connects the Chadderton A-road with the busy M60 motorway, and is near to businesses including Costco Oldham and the Boat & Horses pub.
Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for comment.
