A BODY has been found in the search for a 50-year-old missing man from Tameside.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they are no longer looking for Paul Ryan, after a body was found at Audenshaw Reservoir just after 1pm yesterday, Thursday.

Officers had been searching for Mr Ryan since he was last seen on Manchester Road in Denton on December 2 last year.

A GMP spokesman added: "The body has not yet been formally identified, but is thought to be Paul. His family are aware.

"There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances and a report is being prepared for HM Coroner."
